The Cure Looks Like You!
Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer and may need a marrow transplant. Most do not have a matching donor in their family. Our family of RRPS nurse’s would like to help change that. On October 30th  at Rio Rancho High School in conjunction with the RRHS/CHS volleyball teams we will be holding a “Be The Match” registry drive. It takes just a simple mouth swab and paperwork to start the lifesaving process. Doors open at 3:30. Come join and become a possible donor to save a life.
RRPS Seeks Parent Input on Textbook Adoption
Every six years, the state of New Mexico and local school districts review textbooks and other instructional materials in order to adopt updated materials for use in classrooms.  This year we will be adopting instructional materials for grades 9-12 English Language Arts, World Languages, and high school reading intervention to support our implementation of the Common Core State Standards. Interested in helping on an Adoption Committee? We'll have monthly meetings November through March. Click here for details.

Rio Rancho RAMS Announcements
The BIG EVENT is Coming!
On Saturday, November 22, RRHS Associated Students will hold the 7th Annual BIG Event community service project. For those of you not familiar with how it works, we recruit student volunteers to spend part of a Saturday doing odd jobs at the homes of Rio Rancho residents as a way of saying “thank you” to the community for supporting our schools. Last year, we had about 400 students go out and work on over 70 homes. In order to do this, WE NEED ADULT VOLUNTEERS! If you are interested in helping, check out these applications:   Adult Volunteer Application  |  Job Site Application
Bully Busters
Rio Rancho High School is proud to introduce the Bully Busters service.
Parents of Special Education Students: Transition Competency Questionnaire
This questionnaire helps students determine how best to transition into the workforce after graduation.  Students need to take to complete the questionnaire as soon as possible. Click here for details.
Safety Concerns at RRHS
Students, please push the crosswalk button when crossing in front of the school. Also, RRHS students need to stay off other school campuses unless they have a valid reason (picking up siblings). If they are caught on other school campuses during the school day, they will be trespassed and possibly charged.
Mealtime online service
Rio Rancho parents now have an easier way to pay for their children's meals at school...online! We have chosen to use an online service called MealTime Online (www.mymealtime.com) to provide parents the opportunity to make credit card deposits into their children's cafeteria account. Parents can also view the student's purchase history with this service.
